Whaling in Cape May

There was a small store called the Rigging Loft at Fisherman’s Wharf in Cape May, NJ. The owner asked me to research and write a pamphlet about the Whaling Industry in Cape May. The budget was small, but I spent many, many hours in libraries and pulled together a pretty good story. It was my first paid writing assignment. That was in 1971. 

I thought it would be fun to revisit that story.
