Jersey Shore
Now that it is getting warmer, it reminds me of all the time I spent swimming, fishing, riding amusements and just enjoying the Jersey Shore. My Main haunts as a child were Wildwood and sometimes Atlantic City, but as I aged a bit, Cape May and the Villas became interesting. My brother, when older, was mainly in Long Beach Island and Cape May. He followed the fish.
I have so many fond memories, such as when I got hit in the eye with a miniature golf ball on the Wildwood boardwalk. Ouch!!!! Aside from that, Wildwood was an important part of my childhood, and Cape May and the Villas were important to my young adult life. I am happy I was able to have my children experience all three before we moved (for work) to Atlanta. Did you know there is no ocean in Atlanta? Even so, it is a lovely place.
How about you? Which Jersey Shore or other Vacation spots helped you from your childhood? Inquiring minds would like to know. These photos may remind you of how great trips to the shore were.
I have over 1380 old images of Philly and the Jersey Shore in my Philly Tales Photo album. Visit the album on this website https://mercyrow.com/pages/philly-tales-photos
